The Curtis flowers case was one of the many cases that really shocked the world. This man was tried six times before the Supreme Court got involved to serve justice, as our criminal court system was designed to do so. Yes, our court system does have flaws but nothing is perfect. In this case the Supreme Court should’ve got involved sooner than the 6th trial. The Supreme Court agreed by the sixth trial that this prosecutor was discriminating against people of color in the jury. This didn’t allow the proper conclusion of the case, hence the reason Curtis was tried six times. However the Supreme Court also challenged the ruling with a batson challenge,
